Register your child for school todayOUR CURRICULUM
The following areas have a substantial impact on the quality of education a child receives at Vineyard Christian School.

SUBJECT MATTER
Each student is provided with a strong academic foundation in phonics-based Reading, English, Spelling, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The Bible is integrated into all curricular areas as well as being a course of study by itself.

Our sights are high enough, academically, to be a healthy challenge to every student and yet attainable with with some concentrated effort. The acceptance of responsibility for both a student's academic studies, as well as for his actions towards others, are continually taught.

Class sizes permit the students to receive the necessary individual attention and instruction. A reasonable amount of homework is regularly assigned. Student progress is recorded quarterly in Report Cards and through mid-quarter Interim Reports.

TEACHERS
Our teaching staff is comprised of individuals committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit in the educational process as well as the Christian life. Each is college-trained and experienced in effective teach methods.

Our teachers genuinely care for each child. Educational effectiveness also requires a loving teacher-student relationship of mutual respect, fair discipline and parental support.

THE SCHOOL FACILITY
Our classrooms are new, warmly decorated and air conditioned. There is a large auditorium for school programs and parent meetings. The playground is completely fenced for student security. A local park is used for field days.

LIFE EXPERIENCES
We are concerned with each child's growth as a whole person, and not just their cognitive development. Ample time is provided for spiritual, physical, social and creative development. The overall school program includes the following activities:

Chapel Music Programs
Computer Education Speech
Student Council Spanish
Sports Field Trips
Art Science Fairs

SPORTS
Team sports are offered to 5th - 8th graders. They include:

Flag Football
Volleyball
Basketball

Physical Education at VCS emphasizes the basic components of physical fitness, the development of pre-sports skills and sportsmanship.

PARENT PARTICIPATION
Vineyard Christian School supports parents and their primary role in their children's lives. Parents are invited to participate in school activities. Regular communication is maintained with the home regarding student achievement and school activities.
